Southern Screen is invested in building Acadiana’s cultural economy. Through outreach, Southern Screen helps local audiences continue to treasure stories, offers expertise to the next generation of media creators, and aids local creative talent in capitalizing on the momentum of a growing entertainment production economy in the region. We invite you to please join us for one of our many year round programs or events.

  • SOUTHERN SCREEN FESTIVAL

    Packed with international screenings, industry panels, professional workshops, music and live performances, the 4 day Festival every November entertains and nurtures a wide array of Festival goers!

  • DRIVE-INS & POP-UPS

    Throughout the year, Southern Screen host occasional drive-ins, bringing this nostalgic event to a new generation of movie goers. And our pop-ups offer unique, often highly focused entertainment or education to attendees and entertainment professionals.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

    Focused on furthering skills within our community, highly focused educational in-person and virtual classes offer the chance for artists to continue to grow without leaving the area building the creative economy in Louisiana.

  • YEAR ROUND PROGRAMMING

    Southern Screen is partnered with Acadiana Center for the Arts and other venues and organizations programming local, independent, and foreign films year-round. Each screening is a social event with filmmaker Q&As and additional entertainment.
